How much are you willing to pay for the Tesla Cybertruck?
I was willing to pay $70,000 or so for “500+” miles of range and <3 secs. 0–60 mph performance with a full truck bed. Tesla said in 2019 that it would deliver that. What Tesla actually delivered fell quite short. What Tesla delivered is reasonable and competitive but fills none of my reasons for buying one.
I wanted to be able to travel 500 miles or so between charges and camp in the back. To get close to that range, you have to buy an extended battery that takes up the room in the bed. And that’s $50,000 more than projected. So I’m likely out. I will stick with my Tesla Model X for a while and look at used Toyota Tundras.
Update: Bought the Tundra. My Model X will remain my daily driver.
